Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One plus years experience as a food server in high volume upscale hotel or restaurant environment
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend and lift trays weighing up to 35 pounds repetitively during entire shift
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to guest satisfaction
- Adherence to health and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- One plus years experience as a food server in high volume upscale hotel or restaurant environment
- Thorough knowledge of food terminology, food service techniques and sanitation standards
- Exceptional guest service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend and lift trays weighing up to 35 pounds repetitively during entire shift
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Maintain current knowledge of all menu offerings including ingredients, preparation method and time required, presentation and appearance
- Set up assigned station with all required supplies, 'Mis en Place'
- Greet guests in a polite professional manner according to Loews standards
- Suggestively sell menu items to guests to enhance the dining experience
- Record all aspects of guests order accurately and enter guest orders into POS terminal
- Coordinate placement of order so timing of preparation and delivery flows consistently throughout meal
- Monitor preparation of individual courses to ensure proper flow
- Inspect presentation of all food items to ensure quality product delivery as ordered
- Serve all food and beverage items professionally according to Loews standards
- Monitor guests at all times, anticipate needs, respond to requests, ensure satisfaction
- Prepare and present accurate, complete guest check
- Collect monies or apply charges to guest account using POS terminal
- Complete end of shift revenue report and cash deposit
- Perform all side work duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
- Promote and apply teamwork skills at all times
- Notify appropriate individual promptly of problems or unusual matters
- Comply with required safety regulations and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
- Comply with hotel standards, policies and rules
- Recycle whenever possible
- Comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards
- Attend hotel meetings and training sessions
- Execute emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
- Remain current with hotel information and changes
