Job Duties

  • Check all table set-ups for cleanliness and proper position before opening
  • responsible for side work prior to opening
  • set up service carts with clean and proper items
  • have knowledge of all food and beverage products
  • use service and merchandising techniques
  • work under supervision of the captain
  • attend daily menu meetings
  • order and serve cocktails to guests
  • assist captain with silver set-up before serving food
  • serve guests according to order system
  • stay at the station unless excused by captain
  • inform management of guest reactions and comments
  • be aware of guest needs and satisfaction
  • provide continuous service from start to finish
  • clear tables during meal progression
  • present and suggest desserts
  • take coffee orders and give to Server Assistant
  • check for after dinner drinks
  • recheck guest check before presenting
  • act as a guide through the dining experience
