Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one plus years experience as a food server in high volume upscale hotel or restaurant environment
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- basic knowledge of point of sale systems
- physical ability to stand walk stoop bend and lift trays up to 35 pounds repetitively during shifts
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- valid TABC permit or ability to obtain one
Job Qualifications
- One plus years experience as a food server in high volume upscale hotel or restaurant environment
- thorough knowledge of food terminology food service techniques and sanitation standards
- exceptional guest service skills
- basic computer skills
- ability to stand walk stoop bend and lift trays weighing up to 35 pounds repetitively
- ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- TABC permit or ability to obtain valid TABC permit
Job Duties
- Maintains current knowledge of all menu offerings including ingredients and preparation methods
- sets up assigned station with all required supplies
- greets guests politely and professionally according to Loews standards
- suggestively sells menu items to enhance the dining experience
- records guest orders accurately and enters them into POS terminal
- coordinates order placement for consistent timing of preparation and delivery
- monitors preparation of courses to ensure proper flow
- inspects presentation of food items to ensure quality
- serves all food and beverage items according to Loews standards
- monitors guests, anticipates needs, responds to requests and ensures satisfaction
- prepares and presents accurate guest check
- collects monies due and applies charges to guest accounts
- completes end of shift revenue report and cash deposit
- performs all side work duties as assigned by management
- promotes teamwork and communicates problems promptly
- complies with safety protocols and hotel standards
- attends required meetings and training sessions
- maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
- complies with uniform and grooming standards
