Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one plus years experience as a food server in high volume upscale hotel or restaurant environment
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • basic knowledge of point of sale systems
  • physical ability to stand walk stoop bend and lift trays up to 35 pounds repetitively during shifts
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • valid TABC permit or ability to obtain one

Job Qualifications

  • One plus years experience as a food server in high volume upscale hotel or restaurant environment
  • thorough knowledge of food terminology food service techniques and sanitation standards
  • exceptional guest service skills
  • basic computer skills
  • ability to stand walk stoop bend and lift trays weighing up to 35 pounds repetitively
  • ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • TABC permit or ability to obtain valid TABC permit

Job Duties

  • Maintains current knowledge of all menu offerings including ingredients and preparation methods
  • sets up assigned station with all required supplies
  • greets guests politely and professionally according to Loews standards
  • suggestively sells menu items to enhance the dining experience
  • records guest orders accurately and enters them into POS terminal
  • coordinates order placement for consistent timing of preparation and delivery
  • monitors preparation of courses to ensure proper flow
  • inspects presentation of food items to ensure quality
  • serves all food and beverage items according to Loews standards
  • monitors guests, anticipates needs, responds to requests and ensures satisfaction
  • prepares and presents accurate guest check
  • collects monies due and applies charges to guest accounts
  • completes end of shift revenue report and cash deposit
  • performs all side work duties as assigned by management
  • promotes teamwork and communicates problems promptly
  • complies with safety protocols and hotel standards
  • attends required meetings and training sessions
  • maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
  • complies with uniform and grooming standards
