Job Description

Our restaurant portfolio at The Eastern Iowa Airport consists of popular dining destinations including Cedar Ridge Barrell House and The High Porch, both known for offering exceptional food and beverage experiences to travelers and locals alike. These establishments cater to a diverse clientele and offer a fast-paced yet welcoming atmosphere where teamwork and customer satisfaction are top priorities. \n\nWe are currently hiring Servers for the early morning shift from 4 am to 12:30 pm. This role is crucial for providing guests with a warm welcome and attentive service throughout their dining experience. Servers are responsible for greeting guests promptly, taking and processing orders accurately, and ensuring that all beverages and food items are served according to company standards. In addition to customer interaction, servers will utilize their knowledge of our menu and drink recipes to prepare drinks, adhere to portion control guidelines, and maintain a properly stocked bar. Job Requirements

Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
other duties as assigned
6 months experience working in retail or food service environment
high school diploma preferred
verbal and written communication
ability to read speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders
experience in dealing with problems involving customer service
basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register make change total guest checks count total bank prepare cash drops etc
food handlers permit as required by law
brand certification as required
ability to remember recite and promote the variety of menu items
ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check
ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time

Job Qualifications

High school diploma preferred
6 months experience working in retail or food service environment

Job Duties

Greet guests in a timely courteous and friendly manner
use recipes and practice portion control to mix garnish and present drinks
input orders into register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest
receive cash from guests make any change needed verify validity of charges record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed
always maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar
responsible for maintaining stock cutting and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
must adhere to all State Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests at all times
