The role we are currently looking to fill is for a Server position at our Eastern Iowa Airport establishments. This is a full-time role with set schedules, specifically for the shift running from 4 am to 12:30 pm. The starting pay rate is $12.00 per hour plus tips, offering a competitive compensation package for dedicated service professionals. As a Server, you will be the face of the restaurant, responsible for creating a welcoming dining environment and ensuring guests receive prompt, courteous service. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests warmly, accurately taking and processing orders using the point-of-sale system, delivering drinks and meals efficiently, and maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, especially those governing alcohol service. You will also contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the service area, managing inventories, and assisting with daily operational tasks such as cutting and storing garnishes and perishables. Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- 6 months experience working in retail or food service environment
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders
- Experience in dealing with problems involving customer service
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, etc
- Food handlers permit as required by law
- Brand certification as required
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items
- Ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check
- Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time

Job Duties
- Greet guests in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner
- Use recipes and practice portion control to mix, garnish, and present drinks
- Input orders into register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest
- Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed
- Always maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar
- Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
- Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests at all times
