The role of a Server at Six Flags Great Adventure is an integral part of the Food and Beverage Operations Department. Servers are responsible for ensuring the successful and profitable operation of their assigned restaurant location while providing guests with superior service and delivering high-quality food items. This position requires an enthusiastic, energetic individual committed to creating a welcoming atmosphere and offering excellent customer experience. Servers at Six Flags Great Adventure greet guests warmly, accurately take and deliver orders using POS systems, and respond knowledgeably to guest queries, including dietary restrictions and allergies. They maintain attentiveness throughout the guest experience and uphold compliance with all health and safety policies, including food preparation and handling procedures mandated by the Health Department. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for both guests and team members is a critical component of this role.

Successful candidates are expected to contribute positively by building rapport with customers and identifying areas for continuous improvement within their units. Flexibility is essential, as servers must be willing to work between 40 to 60 hours per week, including weekends, holidays, and potentially outside scheduled shifts. Physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods is also necessary. With a focus on professionalism, servers are expected to maintain perfect grooming and conduct, be self-motivated, and possess excellent time management skills. Previous serving experience is preferred but not mandatory, as the company provides all required training, including ServSafe Alcohol Certification to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Job Requirements

  • Must be willing to work 40-60 hours per week, including before and after scheduled shifts if necessary and on weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with an enthusiastic and friendly demeanor

  • develop and implement strategies to enhance these areas
  • comply with all Six Flags policies at all times
