Servers at Six Flags Great Adventure play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and profitable operation of assigned restaurant locations within the park. This position is pivotal in delivering superior customer service and quality food items to guests, thereby enhancing their overall amusement park experience. The role requires individuals who are enthusiastic about hospitality and capable of maintaining compliance with Six Flags policies and health regulations. Servers are responsible for greeting guests with warmth, accurately taking orders, and using POS systems efficiently to provide speedy and accurate service. They must be knowledgeable about the menu, including ingredients and nutritional concerns, to accommodate guests' dietary restrictions or allergies effectively.
In addition to delivering excellent service, servers are expected to foster a positive atmosphere by building rapport with regular customers and maintaining attentiveness to guests throughout their visit. They ensure the cleanliness of their work areas, enforce proper food preparation and handling procedures, and contribute to the safety of both team members and park guests. Job Requirements
- Must be willing to work 40-60 hours per week, including before and after scheduled shifts if necessary and on weekends and holidays
- physical ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- must be professional, outgoing, energetic, self-motivated, able to motivate others, and have a positive attitude
- excellent time management skills along with the ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
- perfect grooming and conduct must be constantly displayed
- must be willing to change locations when requested by fulltime staff
Job Qualifications
- Employment within the Food and Beverage Operations Department is reliant on receiving passing scores on the ServSafe Alcohol Certification
- all certification classes are supplied by the park
- previous serving experience preferred
Job Duties
- Greet guests with an enthusiastic and friendly demeanor
- accurately take and deliver orders in an efficient manner
- knowledge and usage of POS systems
- build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
- be knowledgeable of menu items and be able to answer any guest questions
- be knowledgeable of menu recipes to cater to any dietary restrictions or allergies
- attentiveness to guests while they are in the restaurant
- ensure that the guest experience is met with friendly, speedy and accurate service, while resolving issues when necessary
- enforce proper food preparation and handling procedures, in compliance with all health department and food and beverage operation policies regarding sanitation
- continually monitor the cleanliness of all units within the assigned area
- ensure the safety of all team members and guests
- identify areas for continued improvement
- develop and implement strategies to enhance these areas
- comply with all six flags policies at all times
