Job Description
Marriott International is a global leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences across its extensive portfolio of brands. Among these prestigious brands is St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, which exemplifies timeless glamour and modern sophistication in luxury hospitality. Founded in the early 20th century with the original St. Regis hotel in New York, the brand has consistently set the standard for bespoke and anticipatory service. Known for its signature Butler Service and impeccable attention to detail, St. Regis offers guests an unparalleled level of comfort and refinement in over 50 luxury hotels and resorts worldwide.
The opportunity to join the St. Regis team in San Francisco, California, presents a unique chance for individuals passionate about delivering outstanding food and beverage service within a renowned luxury hospitality environment. This full-time, non-management role offers an hourly wage of $19.76 and the potential to earn tips, reflecting the service-driven nature of the position. Located at 125 3rd St, this role is integral to creating memorable guest experiences by ensuring the seamless delivery of food and beverage services in accordance with the brand's exacting standards.
As a Food and Beverage Server at St. Regis, you will be responsible for serving food courses and alcoholic beverages, setting tables according to event types and service protocols, and engaging with guests to address menu selections and inquiries. Clear communication with the kitchen team is essential, especially regarding dietary restrictions, allergies, special requests, and any adjustments needed to meal orders. Accuracy in processing orders via the MICROS point of sale system and attentiveness in guest check-ins to confirm satisfaction are critical components of the role.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the work area, including glassware, china, and utensils, is necessary to uphold the venue's hygiene and presentation standards. The role also involves completing closing procedures such as restocking and shutting down operations, ensuring a smooth transition for subsequent shifts.
Safety and professionalism are paramount, with strict adherence to company policies on safety, security, and confidentiality expected. Keeping a polished appearance and embodying the hospitality ethos of warmth and genuine appreciation towards guests are vital to embodying the St. Regis brand identity.
This position requires physical endurance, including standing, walking, lifting, and maneuvering objects as needed during shifts. The ability to work collaboratively with a team, listen actively, and respond positively to workplace concerns is equally important in fostering a supportive and efficient work environment.
Joining St. Regis and Marriott International means becoming part of a diverse and inclusive workplace committed to equal opportunity employment and celebrating the unique backgrounds of all associates. This is more than a job—it is a career where you can do your best work, begin your purpose, belong to an amazing global team, and become the best version of yourself. If you are enthusiastic about hospitality and eager to contribute to a luxury service experience, this Food and Beverage Server position offers a rewarding career path with growth potential within one of the most respected names in the hotel industry.
