This role is for a Hospitality Service Attendant who will play a crucial part in supporting the smooth operations within the dining and kitchen areas of DKN Hotels’ restaurants. The position is ideal for individuals who thrive in customer service environments and enjoy working as part of a team to create a positive guest experience. It is a non-supervisory role that requires adherence to policies, diligent attention to cleanliness, and a friendly, courteous demeanor toward guests and fellow team members.
The primary responsibilities include greeting guests with warmth, assisting with meal set-up, professionally serving food and beverages, and continuously monitoring the dining experience to anticipate and meet guests' needs. Attendants are also responsible for maintaining cleanliness in both dining areas and kitchens, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Additional tasks involve completing side work such as stocking stations and rolling silverware, as well as assisting other departments when needed.
Candidates for this role should have some previous hospitality or customer service experience, with strong communication skills in English and the ability to produce clear written and verbal messages. Physical stamina is necessary due to the nature of the duties, which include prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and exposure to commercial cleaning agents. Job Duties
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times while providing personalized service to guests
- Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members
- Assist with meal set-up and set or pre-set tables in dining room as assigned
- Courteously wait on guests, make recommendations, up sell
- Professionally serve food and beverages, check-in with and monitor guests' experience throughout their visit to ensure guest satisfaction
- Complete all side work (filling condiment containers, rolling silverware, stocking stations)
- Assist with cleaning dining area by wiping down and resetting tables for the next guests
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness of restaurant and kitchen to DKN Hotels' standards and all health codes at all times
- Adhere to food safety requirements
- Report any missing or found articles, or damage to the Housekeeping Supervisor
- Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
- Deliver DKN's "Home Away From Home" experience
