This Server role is positioned onsite within the Coral Gables, Florida location and offers a competitive salary range of $19.16 to $23.95 per hour. The Restaurant Server at Neiman Marcus will play a pivotal role in delivering top-tier food and beverage service that aligns with the company's high standards for luxury retail. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of culinary terminology, beverage knowledge including wines, beers, and spirits, and will provide customers with an impeccable dining experience. This role demands professionalism, multitasking ability, and exceptional customer interaction skills. Responsibilities include managing an assigned dining section, joining daily pre-shift meetings to stay informed and prepared, handling transactions efficiently using the POS system, and maintaining hygiene and appearance standards consistent with the company’s luxury brand image.
Additionally, candidates should be ready to perform physical tasks such as lifting tables, chairs, or equipment, and managing setup and cleanup of the dining areas. The Server will demonstrate integrity in scheduling and adhere to company policies regarding shifts and breaks. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior experience in food and beverage service
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of culinary terminology and proper table service
- Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelines
- Ability to work autonomously

- Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings such as china, glass, flatware, food, and beverage
- Thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology
- Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties simultaneously

- Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds

Job Duties
- Serves assigned seating section of dining area in a professional and gracious manner
- Utilizes thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology, to provide detailed information to customers about menu items
- Leverages knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including technical and service procedures
- Interacts graciously with the public and handles multiple duties at the same time
- Participates in daily pre-shift meeting
- Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment, and maintains knowledge of the POS system
- Executes pre-shift, post-shift, and daily and weekly duties as assigned by supervisor
- Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects such as tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.
- Cleans and maintains restaurant and workstation
- Maintains the highest level of hygiene standards including clean, pressed uniform and professional grooming
- Exercises integrity with scheduling and follows established procedures for schedule and shift changes
- Coordinates holiday, vacation, and any time off with management while considering the needs of the restaurant
