Job Description

HHM Hotels is a renowned hospitality company recognized for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences across its diverse portfolio of hotel and restaurant properties. As a leader in the hospitality industry, HHM Hotels prides itself on fostering a work culture that values inclusivity, sustainability, and continuous professional development. The company operates with a deep understanding that people are its most valuable asset, as reflected by its core values: People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It. By aligning public service with sustainability efforts, HHM Hotels not only ensures guest satisfaction but also actively works towards minimizing its environmental impact through programs like EarthView.

The role of Restaurant Server at HHM Hotels is a dynamic and essential position within the food and beverage department, designed to provide guests with courteous, friendly, and efficient service. This position plays a direct role in enhancing overall guest satisfaction by ensuring that food and beverage orders are taken accurately and delivered promptly using the company’s established point of service (POS) system. The role encompasses diverse responsibilities, including setting and clearing tables, stocking service stations, and actively supporting food preparation areas by picking up and verifying orders to ensure quality standards are met. Additionally, the Restaurant Server is expected to be versatile by stepping into other food and beverage functions such as bartending and bussing during peak periods or staffing shortages, thereby contributing to the smooth operation of the dining experience.

A significant aspect of this position is its upward mobility within the HHM Hotels organization, with clear career growth pathways leading to roles such as Restaurant Supervisor, Banquet Server, Captain, Restaurant Manager, and Banquet Manager. This progression not only motivates candidates to develop their skills in guest service but also offers opportunities for leadership and increased responsibility.

In addition to operational tasks, the Restaurant Server is responsible for maintaining an awareness of guest satisfaction scores and actively participating in initiatives to enhance the quality of service. This role adheres strictly to HHM’s sustainability guidelines under the EarthView program, ensuring sustainable practices are incorporated into daily service routines. Safety is also a paramount concern, with the role requiring employees to consistently practice safe work habits, utilize protective safety equipment, and follow guidelines as per Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

The position requires flexibility in work schedules, including availability to work on holidays, weekends, and alternating shifts, and demands physical stamina to perform tasks such as standing for extended periods, walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 25 pounds, and pushing. HHM Hotels provides competitive wages for both full-time and part-time employees in this role, along with a comprehensive benefits package that supports employee health and well-being.

Working at HHM Hotels offers employees access to various perks, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401k company match, life insurance, travel discounts, commuter benefits, employee assistance programs, and professional development opportunities. The company fosters a supportive work environment that encourages continual learning, inclusiveness, and personal ownership of one’s role within the hospitality team. HHM Hotels is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, upholding non-discriminatory practices based on race, color, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, and other legally protected classes, thereby ensuring a welcoming and diverse workplace for all employees.
