Job Description

We are a distinguished high-end, high-volume steakhouse with two prominent locations in Mahwah and Fairlawn. Our establishment is renowned for delivering an exceptional dining experience that incorporates premium quality steak dishes, a wide range of fine wines, and impeccable service standards. We pride ourselves on maintaining an elegant and welcoming atmosphere where guests can feel valued and enjoy meticulously crafted meals. We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as servers. This role is available for both full-time and part-time positions, making it a flexible opportunity suited for various schedules. As a server representing the face of our dining room, you will play a crucial role in shaping our guests’ experiences through attentive service and professionalism. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing your assigned section with efficiency, and providing in-depth knowledge about our food menu and extensive wine and beverage programs. Given the nature of our high-volume steakhouse, the ideal candidate must be able to work well under pressure, maintaining a warm and pleasant demeanor even during the busiest shifts.

Flexibility in working hours is a must, as the position requires availability for night shifts, weekends, and holidays to accommodate the dynamic flow of our business. Compensation is based on the minimum wage for tipped employees, with an hourly rate of $5.62 plus tips, within a tip pool system. Job Requirements

  • Previous experience as a server
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Making sure tables are properly set, table clothes are stain free without damage and chairs are clean
  • Greeting guests at the table
  • Finding out about any allergies or dietary restrictions
  • Ensuring and anticipating all guests needs are met
  • In depth knowledge of the food menu
  • In depth knowledge of wine and beverage programs
  • Sales and up selling
  • Controlling your section, directing the busboys and food runners
  • Complete knowledge of our POS system
  • Knowledge of proper wine service
  • Basic knowledge of math
  • Strong communication skills
