Job Description

Eilan Hotel and Spa is a distinguished Hilton Grand Vacations property located in Northwest San Antonio, near popular destinations such as The Rim and La Cantera. The resort exudes a Tuscan-inspired architectural design, which was completed in 2011. It boasts 165 well-appointed guestrooms and forms a vital part of the expansive 120-acre Eilan mixed-use development. This development seamlessly integrates lodging with offices, residences, retail outlets, dining establishments, and shared community amenities, creating a vibrant and cohesive community hub.

The resort offers guests a comprehensive experience that blends comfort, luxury, and convenience. Amenities include a full-service spa featuring 10 treatment rooms, approximately 14,000 square feet of flexible event space suitable for a variety of occasions, and multiple food and beverage outlets. These include the Social restaurant, which serves breakfast and dinner, the Mercato coffee shop, and a seasonal pool bar, all designed to cater to diverse tastes and preferences.

The Eilan Hotel and Spa is currently seeking a dedicated Part-Time Restaurant Server to join their team, primarily covering evening shifts including weekends. This role is essential in delivering exceptional guest service and enhancing the overall dining experience at the resort’s dining venues. The employment type is part-time, offering candidates flexibility in their schedule.

As a Part-Time Restaurant Server at Eilan Hotel and Spa, you will be responsible for ensuring guests feel welcomed and well cared for from the moment they enter the restaurant until they leave. This role requires a high level of professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail, as you will be taking accurate food and drink orders, demonstrating thorough knowledge of the menu, and connecting closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure precise order preparation. Additionally, tasks include maintaining cleanliness and organization in the service area, performing opening and closing duties, and adhering strictly to payment and cash handling procedures.

The position demands the ability to work in a fast-paced and physically active environment, requiring capabilities such as bending, lifting up to 30 pounds, reaching overhead, and moving around confined spaces comfortably. The server must be able to manage moderate noise levels, outdoor weather conditions, and maintain a clean and presentable appearance in line with the company’s dress code.

Job Requirements

  • 0-3 years related experience
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Ability to bend, lift up to 30 lb, reach overhead, climb, sit, stand, walk, push, pull and move about the work area of limited space
  • Ability to work in moderate noise
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat and/or cold
  • Clean, presentable appearance
  • Adherence to company dress code

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to operate POS system accurately

Job Duties

  • Complete all the opening and closing duties
  • Supervise and maintain cleanliness and organization of tables and service area throughout the shift
  • Greet guests in a timely, courteous and professional manner
  • Anticipate guests needs throughout service
  • Take accurate food and drink orders from guests
  • Demonstrate knowledge of food menu and beverages, presentation and preparation
  • Retrieve orders of food and beverages from designated areas
  • Connect with cooks and bartenders for accurate preparation
  • Accurately input orders in the POS system, open tabs following SOPs, and promptly present checks while adhering to payment and cash handling procedures
  • Complete end of the day paperwork as outlined by Accounting SOP
  • Perform general cleaning tasks adhering to health code standards
  • Complete or perform any other reasonable request assigned by management
