Job Description

Top Note Rooftop is a premier dining and beverage establishment located within the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Nashville Downtown/Capitol, at 310 Gay St, Nashville, Tennessee. Part of Marriott International, a globally recognized leader in hospitality, Top Note Rooftop offers guests a unique and memorable culinary experience enhanced by an inviting atmosphere and exceptional service. As a full-service rooftop restaurant, it combines superb food and drink with scenic views of Nashville's vibrant downtown area, attracting both locals and visitors alike. The establishment prides itself on its commitment to quality, guest satisfaction, and creating a welcoming environment for all its patrons. Marriott International, known for its dedication to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity employment, continues to uphold a culture that values the unique backgrounds and talents of its associates. The company is committed to non-discrimination and providing equal access to opportunities regardless of disability, veteran status, or any other protected basis under applicable law.

The role of Guest Service Expert at Top Note Rooftop is a non-management, full-time position designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and delivering outstanding customer experiences. This role goes beyond simply serving food and drinks; it is focused on creating an engaging and memorable dining experience that guests will cherish. Guest Service Experts at Top Note Rooftop are essential to the operation’s success, as they take initiative to offer a wide range of services that ensure guests feel valued and comfortable throughout their visit. Responsibilities in this role include setting and clearing tables, communicating effectively with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate orders, serving guests with professionalism, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work areas. Those in this position must be physically capable of standing, walking, and moving around for extended periods, as well as performing tasks that require lifting and handling objects up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance.

Guest Service Experts are expected to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, follow all company policies and procedures, and preserve the highest quality standards in all aspects of their work. The role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a safe and welcoming environment. Working in a rooftop dining setting also means adapting to a dynamic work environment with varying weather conditions and guest volumes. Marriott values associates who can demonstrate a hands-on approach and flexibility in their day-to-day tasks. Although prior experience is preferred, Top Note Rooftop welcomes applicants with less than one year of related work experience who possess a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the hospitality industry. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a globally respected brand, develop professional skills, and contribute to an outstanding guest experience in the bustling city of Nashville.
