Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a customer service or restaurant server role preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform lifting and cleaning tasks
  • knowledge of food safety and handling practices
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • willingness to learn and adhere to company policies and service standards
  • basic math and cash handling skills
  • ability to manage stressful situations calmly and professionally

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • educate guests about service style, food, and drink menus including preparation and ingredients
  • be knowledgeable about menu items to address food allergies and concerns
  • maintain a positive attitude and smile at all times
  • assist with light food preparation duties
  • adhere to service standards including upselling and suggestive selling
  • inform guests about daily specials and menu recommendations
  • check quality and presentation before serving food and beverages
  • serve food and drinks promptly
  • verify identification for alcohol consumption
  • recognize signs of intoxication and manage situations appropriately
  • process guest payments accurately
  • thank guests sincerely and encourage return visits
  • clear, clean, and reset tables following sanitation standards
  • ensure condiments and napkin dispensers are clean and well-stocked
  • address guest complaints and notify management
  • participate in marketing and promotional initiatives
  • complete shift duties including beginning, change, and end of shift tasks
  • demonstrate speed of service and urgency
  • attend all scheduled employee meetings
  • carry out additional tasks as assigned
