Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in food service in a high volume, upscale setting
- Knowledge of food terminology and sanitation standards
- Strong guest service skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Physical ability to lift trays up to 35 pounds repeatedly
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years experience as a food server in a high volume, upscale hotel or restaurant environment
- Thorough knowledge of food terminology, food service techniques and sanitation standards
- Exceptional guest service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend and lift trays weighing up to 35 pounds repetitively
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Maintains current knowledge of all menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation, presentation and timing
- Sets up assigned station with all required supplies
- Greets guests politely and professionally according to Loews standards
- Suggestively sells menu items to enhance guest dining experience
- Records guests’ orders accurately and enters orders into POS terminal
- Coordinates order placement to ensure consistent timing throughout meal
- Monitors preparation and presentation of food items to ensure quality
- Serves food and beverages according to Loews standards
- Anticipates guest needs, responds promptly to requests and ensures satisfaction
- Prepares and presents accurate guest checks, collects payment and applies charges using POS
- Completes end-of-shift revenue report and cash deposit
- Performs side work duties as assigned
- Promotes teamwork and notifies management of any issues
- Complies with safety regulations, uniform standards, and hotel policies
- Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
- Attends meetings and training sessions
- Recycles where possible
- Remains informed on hotel information and changes
- Executes emergency procedures as required
