Established in 1937, Sheraton has built a reputation as a welcoming place for guests from diverse backgrounds, offering exceptional hospitality and service. As part of Marriott International, Sheraton reinforces its commitment to inclusiveness, diversity, and community engagement across its more than 400 global locations. The Sheraton brand is celebrated for creating meaningful experiences and fostering a sense of belonging among employees and guests alike, making it a sought-after destination for travelers and event attendees.

This position, based at Sheraton Fairplex Suites & Conference Center, is a part-time, non-management role within the vibrant Food and Beverage & Culinary department. The role offers an hourly wage of $16.90 and is tip-eligible, catering to individuals who are passionate about the hospitality industry. It is ideal for those new to hotel employment or seasoned professionals looking to join a supportive, energetic team that values positive attitudes and service excellence.

As a Food and Beverage Server at Sheraton Fairplex, your primary responsibilities center around delivering an outstanding dining experience to guests. You will be the face of the hospitality team during meal service, ensuring guests feel welcomed, attended to promptly, and satisfied with every aspect of their meal. Your extensive knowledge of the menu will allow you to address guest inquiries and accommodate special requests effectively.

In addition, the role requires proficiency in using the MICROS point of sale system to handle transactions accurately and timely. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly dining environment by resetting tables, replenishing supplies, and completing closing duties. This position demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods, and the capability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds. Wearing a clean professional uniform and completing required safety training and certifications before employment are mandatory.

Sheraton Fairplex Suites values its associates by offering various perks and benefits designed to support both professional growth and personal well-being. Employees receive discounts on hotel rooms, gift shop items, and food and beverage services, enhancing the overall employee experience beyond the workplace. Opportunities for learning and development are emphasized to foster career advancement. Recognition programs celebrate achievements and contributions, while wellness initiatives promote a healthy work environment. The management team is motivated and supportive, fostering a collaborative work culture where teamwork thrives.

Joining Sheraton Fairplex is more than just a job—it is a chance to be part of a global family where diversity is embraced, and individual talents are nurtured. Working here allows you to serve a diverse clientele, enrich your hospitality skills, and explore varied career pathways within Marriott International. Whether you are starting your career or seeking to advance your skills, this role offers a fulfilling opportunity to contribute to memorable guest experiences in a dynamic, multicultural setting. Being part of Sheraton means becoming part of a legacy committed to excellence and guest satisfaction.
