The role available at Marriott St. Louis Grand is for a full-time food and beverage service team member, specifically for the evening shift. This is a non-management position that plays a crucial part in delivering a memorable dining experience to hotel guests. The position is tip eligible, rewarding staff for their attentive and friendly service. This job involves welcoming guests, efficiently attending to tables, serving food and beverages, and sharing menu knowledge to assist guests with their choices. You will be expected to handle transactions accurately using the MICROS point-of-sale system, ensure guest satisfaction with each meal and drink, and maintain a spotless dining area by clearing and resetting tables.Prior experience as a server is considered a strong advantage, but Marriott welcomes both newcomers to the hospitality industry and seasoned professionals who bring a positive attitude and a team-focused mindset. This role requires excellent conversational skills, a positive and outgoing personality, and the physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds, as well as to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Maintaining a professional appearance with a clean uniform is also essential. - High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of related work experience
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Maintain a professional appearance with a clean uniform
- Completion of safety training and certification prior to employment

Job Duties
- Welcome guests and promptly attend to tables

- Clean tables, complete closing tasks, and restock dishes and supplies
