The Restaurant Server role at Hyatt Westlake is integral to the dining experience, responsible for delivering attentive, accurate, and courteous service. This position plays a direct role in impacting guest satisfaction, encouraging repeat business, and enhancing the overall reputation of the restaurant. The server welcomes guests, presents menus, offers wine and meal suggestions, and precisely relays orders to ensure timely delivery. Additionally, the server monitors guests' needs throughout the meal, processes payments, replenishes supplies, and maintains a polished dining environment.
This seasonal full-time position offers a pay rate of $16.90 per hour and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with TIPS and Food Safety certifications. Prior experience in food service or fine dining is preferred but not required, as ongoing training is provided to support growth and service excellence. The Restaurant Server must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.

Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and serve beverages such as ice water and coffee upon arrival
- Present menus, suggest dinner courses, recommend wines, and answer questions about food preparation
- Take and relay orders to the kitchen or bar, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Garnish and decorate dishes before serving and occasionally serve directly from platters
- Monitor diners' needs and respond promptly to additional requests or concerns
- Total bills and process payments, or direct guests to the cashier as needed
- Replenish supplies and prepare stations for subsequent meals
- Other duties as assigned
