Job Description

HHM Hotels is a renowned hospitality company known for its commitment to exceptional guest experiences and sustainable practices. With a strong presence in the hotel industry, HHM Hotels has consistently focused on delivering superior service through dedication to core values such as People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It. The company emphasizes a work environment that promotes growth, diversity, and equal opportunity, providing its employees with a vibrant culture and numerous development paths. As part of its sustainable initiative, HHM promotes the EarthView program to integrate environmentally responsible practices across all operations, enhancing its reputation as a leader in sustainable hospitality. The hotels under the HHM umbrella range from boutique properties to large-scale resorts, catering to a diverse clientele seeking quality accommodation combined with excellent food and beverage services.

The Restaurant Server position at HHM Hotels plays a pivotal role in ensuring guests receive courteous, friendly, and efficient service, embodying the brand’s high standards of hospitality. This role involves engaging with guests by accurately taking and placing food and beverage orders using the point of service system, maintaining cleanliness and readiness of dining areas by setting and clearing tables, and restocking necessary items such as ice, napkins, or straws. Servers at HHM Hotels are also responsible for picking up food orders from the preparation areas to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Additionally, this role includes handling guest check preparation and processing payments where applicable. The position requires versatility, as servers may be called upon to assist with bartending and bussing during peak times or staff shortages, showcasing a team-oriented environment. A strong emphasis on guest satisfaction drives the daily responsibilities, and servers are encouraged to contribute to higher departmental and overall guest satisfaction scores.

HHM Hotels provides full training in line with health and safety standards, including compliance with MSDS and OSHA, as well as the EarthView sustainability program to ensure eco-friendly operations. This entry-level role is ideal for those with prior food and beverage experience or relevant training, with a high school diploma being preferred. Additionally, possessing knowledge of POS systems and TIPS certification is advantageous, as it supports efficient and responsible service. The company supports career advancement from Restaurant Server to supervisory roles and management within the food and beverage department, allowing employees to build rewarding careers in hospitality.

Working at HHM Hotels offers an environment that fosters both personal and professional growth with competitive wages available for both full-time and part-time positions. The company encourages work-life balance with paid time off and comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance. HHM also offers a 401k company match to help employees plan for their futures, alongside free basic life insurance for added security. Employees benefit from travel discounts, commuter transit and parking benefits, assistance and wellness programs, professional development opportunities, and a referral bonus program. The nature of the role requires physical stamina as it involves standing for long periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching. Work schedules are flexible but may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts to meet operational demands. As an equal opportunity employer, HHM Hotels maintains an inclusive workplace respecting all individuals regardless of race, gender, age, disability, or other protected characteristics.
