Job Description

HVMG, or Hotel Value Management Group, is a respected player in the hospitality industry with a clear commitment to excellence known as the "Be Excellent culture." This phrase represents more than just a catchy slogan; it embodies a philosophy that permeates every level of the company, from the corporate office to individual hotel properties. Employees often highlight the company's great leadership, which consistently demonstrates a commitment to the values and culture they promote. HVMG operates a nationwide portfolio of hotels offering numerous opportunities for career growth, flexible working schedules, and competitive benefits. The company takes pride in cultivating an environment where anyone—from entry-level positions to senior leadership—can thrive and build a long-lasting career within the hospitality field. HVMG also emphasizes inclusivity and equal opportunity employment, ensuring all applicants and employees are treated fairly without regard to any protected characteristics under federal, state, or local laws.

The role of Restaurant Server at one of HVMG's hotels is crucial in delivering the exceptional dining experiences that guests expect when they visit. As the face of the hotel restaurant, the server will engage warmly and professionally with guests, taking orders accurately and efficiently, serving food and beverages in a timely manner, and ensuring the dining area remains clean and organized. This role requires excellent interpersonal communication skills to understand and meet guests' needs, a positive and patient attitude to handle a fast-paced environment, and a dedication to delivering quality hospitality service. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Supervisor or Manager, the server plays a fundamental part in the overall guest satisfaction and contributes significantly to the hotel's reputation.

The position may require working various shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, supporting flexible availability to accommodate the dynamic demands of hotel dining services. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and possess sufficient education or literacy to read product labels and communicate effectively with guests and team members. Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and lift as needed, either with or without reasonable accommodations. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and those who seek career advancement opportunities within the hotel industry, such as moving into banquet service, bartending, or food and beverage management.

Working at HVMG comes with a range of benefits designed to support employee well-being and professional growth. These include access to earned wages before payday through PayActive, paid time off and holidays, comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision benefits, a 401(k) plan with a guaranteed 4% match and no vesting period, and exclusive discounts on hotel stays and food and beverage offerings. Moreover, employees appreciate the flexibility in scheduling and the career paths available nationwide across the company’s extensive hotel portfolio. HVMG’s culture fosters a warm, professional work environment where a friendly smile and positive attitude are valued and expected.
