This job opening is for a Food and Beverage Service Specialist on the evening shift at the Marriott St. Louis Grand. This full-time, non-management role is a key position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent food and beverage service to guests, ensuring each dining experience meets Marriott’s outstanding service standards. The position is tip eligible, emphasizing the importance of positive guest interactions.

In this role, the associate will serve food courses and alcoholic beverages, set tables in accordance with the event and service standards, and answer guest questions about menu selections. Communication with kitchen staff is vital, including conveying special dietary needs, allergies, and meal preferences to ensure guest satisfaction. The associate will use the MICROS system to accurately record transactions and follow up with guests to confirm their satisfaction with each course and beverage.

Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area, responding promptly to guest needs, and adhering to all safety and security policies are fundamental responsibilities. The role also includes physical duties such as standing or walking for extended periods, moving objects, and navigating uneven surfaces. Attention to detail, professionalism in appearance, and discretion regarding confidential company information are integral to this position.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience required
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 25 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to lift objects over 50 pounds with assistance
  • Availability to work evening shifts
  • Commitment to follow safety and security protocols

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
