Job Description
SantaFe Senior Living, Inc. is a well-established organization dedicated to providing exceptional services to senior communities through its three affiliate communities: The Village at Gainesville, The Terraces at Bonita Springs, and East Ridge at Cutler Bay. The Village at Gainesville specifically offers a 104-acre campus environment that combines the conveniences of a small town with access to urban amenities just minutes away. Situated near dynamic cultural hubs like the University of Florida and Santa Fe College, Gainesville is recognized as a desirable place to live and work, offering employees both professional growth opportunities and a high quality of life.
The Village at Gainesville fosters a highly professional and engaging team-centered environment. Associates are encouraged to grow professionally while making a positive impact on the lives of the seniors they serve. The company’s dedication to creating a supportive work culture means staff can take pride in their roles and contribute to a compassionate community focused on improving residents' quality of life.
The Server position at The Village at Gainesville offers a unique employment opportunity ideal for those seeking flexibility. Unlike many traditional restaurant jobs, this role involves working hours that conclude by or before 8 PM, making it especially attractive for students or individuals unable to commit to late-night shifts. This part-time or full-time, non-tipped role emphasizes customer service in a welcoming and home-like dining environment for senior residents.
As a server, you will be a critical part of the dining services team, responsible for serving food and beverages, cleaning and resetting tables, and maintaining the overall sanitation of the dining room and equipment. Reporting to the Dining Services Supervisor or Manager, you will interact with residents and guests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner, demonstrating a genuine passion for serving older adults. This role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a professional appearance, and a strong drive for excellence to succeed in this fast-paced but fulfilling environment.
Servers at The Village at Gainesville are valued team members who create enjoyable dining experiences through cheerful behavior and careful adherence to established procedures, including merchandising, plate presentation, and service standards. The role involves various duties such as taking meal orders, providing full table service, setting up and breaking down the dining room, stocking supplies, and promptly reporting any resident concerns or equipment issues to management.
The position provides an opportunity for personal and professional growth, with eligibility for scholarships and tuition reimbursement after one year of employment. Additionally, the company offers a range of benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and numerous recognition incentives. The environment is clean, well-lit, and well-ventilated, promoting both the comfort of residents and the safety and efficiency of staff. The Village at Gainesville stands out as a compelling employer for those passionate about serving seniors in a supportive and respectful atmosphere, with flexible schedules and rewarding career opportunities.
