Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in food and beverage service preferred
- ability to comply with State, Federal and Corporate liquor laws
- strong customer service skills
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- must hold or be willing to obtain Food Handler Card and TABC license
- must maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance
- flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card or be in the process of being certified
- hold a valid TABC license
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
- knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
- basic proficiency in English to understand customer inquiries and communicate instructions
- ability to apply written product labeling instructions
- ability to memorize, recite and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials or restaurant promotions for guest awareness
- check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
- record the details of the order from guests, repeating the order to check for accuracy
- input orders into the Point of Sale system to inform the kitchen
- retrieve order from kitchen, confirm accuracy, and deliver with appropriate condiments
- abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations
- replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for satisfaction
- market and serve dessert items or specialty coffees upon request
- assist bus staff in clearing and resetting tables
- perform assigned side work including replenishing condiments and restocking
- perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel products to maintain health standards
- present the check to guests promptly
- adhere to all company policies and procedures
- follow safety and security procedures and rules
- know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilize protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisors
- maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- perform related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
- assist other restaurant personnel when needed
