Renowned for its commitment to quality service and hospitality excellence, JW Marriott emphasizes a welcoming environment for both guests and associates. The brand upholds the legacy of J. Willard Marriott, fostering a culture where associates feel valued, supported, and empowered to deliver exceptional guest experiences. JW Marriott properties provide a unique and collaborative work environment, focusing on associate well-being, professional development, and training opportunities. Working at JW Marriott means being part of a community that celebrates diversity, innovation, and genuine hospitality in a luxury setting.
This position is a full-time management role based in Orlando, Florida, at the JW Marriott property located at 4040 Central Florida Parkway. The role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $29.81 to $38.46 and includes eligibility for bonuses. The primary focus of the position is to increase revenue for the property's food and beverage outlets and lounges by managing and coordinating private restaurant events. This involves working directly with clients to create and meet private event sales goals, developing leads, upselling events, and booking private event functions. The role requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including outlet managers, chefs, and other sales teams to ensure client specifications are met and events are executed flawlessly.
The Manager of Restaurant Private Events will be responsible for maintaining updated outlet website information, preparing revenue and sales reports, and following up with clients post-event to encourage repeat business and build relationships. Managing space utilization and promoting event profitability by adhering to established guidelines is also a crucial part of the job. The candidate must possess strong knowledge of food, beverage, and industry trends, and must personally inspect assigned functions to ensure client satisfaction. This role serves as a key player in building successful relationships with in-market stakeholders and out-of-market account leaders, participating actively in local community and networking events to support sales initiatives.
Exceptional customer service delivery is paramount, and the role demands accountability for driving customer loyalty and upholding brand standards. The role involves assisting customers in identifying their needs, recommending appropriate services, and handling complaints or disputes efficiently and courteously. The Manager of Restaurant Private Events works closely with various Marriott sales groups to coordinate efforts and ensure complementary sales activities that maximize business opportunities. This role is vital in sustaining the company's commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction, reinforcing Marriott's reputation as a leader in hospitality worldwide.
