Job Description

21c Museum Hotels is a unique hospitality company that bridges the worlds of contemporary art and hospitality to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Established as one of the pioneering examples in combining a multi-venue contemporary art museum, boutique hotel, and chef-driven restaurant, 21c Museum Hotels creates a distinctive and welcoming environment where art and hospitality intersect. The company prides itself on a dynamic and engaging atmosphere which welcomes community interaction and cultural enrichment. Committed to delivering both artistic and exceptional service experiences, 21c Museum Hotels provides not just a place to stay or dine but a vibrant cultural destination. Whether it is a local patron or an international traveler, each guest enjoys access to thoughtfully curated art exhibitions alongside fine dining and comfortable lodging, all under one roof. This innovative approach has positioned 21c Museum Hotels as a distinctive leader in the hospitality industry, attracting professionals who value creativity, community engagement, and excellence in service.

The role of Food Runner at 21c Museum Hotels is an essential position within the vibrant restaurant environment that complements the overall guest experience. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, the Food Runner plays a critical role in the delivery and presentation of food to restaurant patrons, ensuring every meal meets the high standards associated with 21c Museum Hotels. As the last staff member to handle the meal before it reaches the customer, a Food Runner must have a solid understanding of the menu items to confirm the quality, accuracy, and presentation of each dish. This role is fast-paced and requires strong communication and organizational skills to maintain efficiency between the kitchen and the dining room. Responsibilities include timely delivery of food, assisting servers with table and service station preparation, supporting bussers with clearing and side work, and executing additional tasks as assigned by supervisory staff or chefs. The Food Runner must also maintain a clean and orderly dining environment and demonstrate a positive and friendly attitude with both guests and coworkers. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a community-focused and art-driven hospitality brand that values enthusiasm and professionalism. Flexible working hours including nights and weekends are a vital part of this role, and a commitment to adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines is mandatory. Joining the 21c Museum Hotels team as a Food Runner means embracing a culture centered on creativity, hospitality excellence, and meaningful guest engagement.
