Job Description
The Company is a distinguished hospitality establishment, operating around the clock, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to meet diverse and dynamic operational demands. This commitment to continuous service underscores the Company’s dedication to providing exceptional guest experiences regardless of the hour or day. Situated within the vibrant sphere of hotel and restaurant services, the Company prides itself on maintaining high standards of professionalism, hospitality, and operational excellence. The environment is fast-paced and requires employees who are adaptable, attentive to detail, and committed to guest satisfaction.
The position of Restaurant Server is integral to the Company’s service framework. A Restaurant Server acts as the face of the hospitality experience, responsible not just for taking orders and serving food but also for ensuring guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and valued throughout their visit. The role requires a balance of interpersonal skills and operational efficiency, as servers must communicate effectively with guests, kitchen staff, and management while adhering strictly to safety and sanitation regulations, brand standards, and company policies.
The Restaurant Server is tasked with greeting guests promptly and courteously, assisting them with menu selections by answering questions thoughtfully about cooking methods, specials, and prices, and ensuring orders are taken accurately. Timely submission of orders to the kitchen, preparation of beverages and food following established procedures, and careful verification of food presentation and portion sizes are crucial responsibilities. Beyond order handling, the server processes payments with a sharp eye on cash handling policies, credit card procedures, room charges, and accounting regulations to maintain accuracy and security.
To excel in this role, the server must possess a thorough understanding of the hotel’s facilities and services to assist guests comprehensively and must conduct all communications in strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality policies. Reporting safety hazards or emergency situations immediately to management is part of maintaining a safe environment for both guests and employees. The server plays a vital role in upholding cleanliness and organization by promptly addressing spills and breakages, clearing and resetting tables, and restocking service items.
Operational flexibility is essential as shifts may vary in duration and timing, addressing the around-the-clock demands of the Company. This role requires physical stamina, with the job involving extended periods of standing and walking, lifting, bending, and other movements common in a hospitality setting. The work environment may expose servers to varying conditions including temperature extremes, odors, sounds, and the inherent busy nature of a bustling restaurant attached to a hotel operation.
This employment opportunity is suited for individuals passionate about delivering superior guest service in a lively atmosphere, who understand the importance of hospitality best practices, and who are capable of handling financial transactions accurately and ethically. The Company values professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude, encouraging team members to engage with guests and co-workers alike with warmth and respect. Being a Restaurant Server here means contributing directly to memorable dining experiences and upholding the reputation of a celebrated hospitality brand.
