This expansive 37,000 square-foot, multi-level complex is nestled in the heart of The Pointe Orlando, just a short walk from the vibrant convention center district, making it a hub for entertainment and social gatherings. The Manager role at Live! at the Pointe is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of service and operational excellence that guests expect. This position involves overseeing day-to-day activities across one or more food and beverage outlets within the complex, ensuring smooth operations, employee supervision, and guest satisfaction. The manager is responsible for enforcing compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements, guaranteeing that the establishment adheres to local, state, and federal laws. They play a vital role in planning and organizing staff work schedules, enforcing company policies, and managing staffing actions such as hiring, training, disciplinary measures, and performance evaluations. Additionally, the manager is tasked with guaranteeing that all team members are well-equipped and certified to perform their duties effectively.
Guest interaction is a significant aspect of the role; managers ensure all visitors receive warm greetings, handle complaints with professionalism, and implement service recovery procedures to uphold total guest satisfaction. Innovation is encouraged as the manager contributes to developing creative marketing programs, specials, and promotions to drive sales and increase patronage. This role also involves financial oversight, including budget preparation, revenue achievement, expense control, inventory management, and minimizing waste to boost profitability. Managers oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of restaurant facilities and equipment to deliver a safe and inviting environment. Occasionally, the manager coordinates special events, contributing to the dynamic entertainment agenda for which Live! at the Pointe is known.
The ideal candidate for this management role will possess a high school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably within a full-service restaurant, nightclub, or similar hospitality setting. Candidates with a Degree in Hospitality Management or some college education are preferred. The role demands excellent communication skills, with fluency in English required; multilingual abilities are a bonus. The manager needs strong problem-solving, organizational, and training talents, along with basic mathematical skills related to budgeting, profit and loss, variances, and percentages. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Certification in alcohol awareness, food service permit, or health/food handler cards are required in compliance with local regulations. Job Requirements

- 1-2 years restaurant management experience
- Hospitality Management Degree or some college preferred
- Fluent English

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with standards of service and operating procedures
- Adhere to federal, state and local regulations concerning health safety or other compliance requirements
- Supervise day-to-day activities of one or more food and/or beverage outlets or assigned portion of the operation
- Plan and organize work
- Communicate and enforce policies and procedures
- Recommend and/or initiate salary, disciplinary, or other staffing-related actions in accordance with company rules and policies
- Alert management of potentially serious issues
- Ensure all staff is properly trained and certified and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions
- Ensure guests are greeted upon arrival
- Respond appropriately to guest complaints
- Establish and implement appropriate service recovery guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction
- Assist with creating innovative programs and promotions to market special menu items, increase sales, and increase guest patronage
- Assist in the development and implementation of new menus and local food and beverage marketing programs, and participate in and maintain system-wide food and beverage marketing programs
- Assist in monitoring performance of the restaurant through analysis of guest feedback and financial results
- Initiate corrective action as needed
- Maintain procedures to ensure the security and proper storage of restaurant inventory, and equipment
- Ensure the security of monies, credit and financial transactions
- Replenish supplies, inventory, uniforms, etc. in a timely and efficient manner
- Minimize waste and control costs
- Participate in taking inventories
- Achieve budgeted revenues, control expenses and labor costs, and maximize profitability within all areas of the food and beverage outlet(s)
- Assist in preparation of the annual operating budget which supports the overall objectives of the food and beverage outlet(s)
- Ensure that all restaurant equipment (coffee and soda machines, registers, etc.) are in proper operational condition and cleaned on a regular basis
- Ensure that all restaurant facilities are cleaned, vacuumed, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volumes
- May coordinate special events scheduled for the venue
