We are currently seeking a passionate and guest-focused Restaurant Maître De to join our distinguished team. This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee the daily operations of our upscale restaurant, managing staff and ensuring that every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience. As the Restaurant Maître De, you will assist the Restaurant Manager with training and developing restaurant staff, fostering a professional and high-performing team. This position requires strong leadership skills, a customer-focused approach, and a detailed understanding of restaurant operations including inventory management and cost control. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environment
- supervisory experience preferred
- excellent communication skills
- strong leadership qualities
- ability to multitask and solve problems effectively
- prior cash handling experience
- flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of POS systems
Job Qualifications
- proven experience as a host, server, or cashier
- supervisory experience preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- strong leadership and team management abilities
- knowledge of restaurant operations including inventory management and cost control
- prior cash handling and experience with MICROS POS system
- proficiency in MS Office and POS systems
- preferred TIPS, CPR, and Serve Safe certifications
- understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
