Whataburger is a beloved fast-food restaurant chain known for its commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and community values. Established in 1950, Whataburger has grown to become a staple in the fast-food industry, offering a unique blend of bold flavors and exceptional service. The company prides itself on fostering a workplace culture that emphasizes integrity, teamwork, and personal growth. For over seven decades, Whataburger has maintained a strong presence in the market by focusing on hiring and developing leaders who are passionate about delivering great food and an exceptional customer experience. Their dedication to employees extends beyond the workplace, offering comprehensive benefits and career advancement opportunities that ensure continued success both professionally and personally.

This role as a Restaurant Manager at Whataburger involves overseeing a high-volume restaurant with average annual sales exceeding $4 million and a team of more than fifty Family Members. The position is designed to develop versatile leadership skills by rotating through different Areas of Responsibility—Customer, Quality, and People. The Restaurant Manager will play a crucial role in creating an environment where quality food, excellent service, and strong teamwork meld seamlessly. This position entails direct leadership over daily restaurant operations, ensuring the adherence to food safety, workplace safety, and brand standards. Additionally, the Restaurant Manager will support the growth and development of team members, motivating them to achieve their full potential while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

This full-time role offers competitive weekly pay and a motivating bonus program with 2.5 times upside potential. Whataburger provides paid time off, including paid holidays such as Christmas, and paid parental leave, ensuring that employees can maintain a healthy work-life balance. The company also supports its managers with a 401(k) plan featuring dollar-for-dollar matching up to 4%, as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance options. Additional benefits include short- and long-term disability coverage, educational scholarships through the Whataburger Family Foundation, and a range of discounts on meals, wireless services, technology, and fitness memberships.

The Restaurant Manager will engage in leading day-to-day operations to meet rigorous standards of quality, service, and cleanliness while championing hospitality that resonates with Whataburger’s friendly and fast-paced atmosphere. Responsibilities include managing sales, labor costs, and profitability goals, as well as ensuring smooth shift transitions and operational flow across all day parts. The manager will collaborate closely with the Operating Partner and leadership team to drive continuous improvement initiatives, business performance, and talent development. This role is critical in shaping the culture of the restaurant, modeling company values, and contributing to Whataburger’s reputation as a premier employer and dining destination.

Located primarily at the home restaurant in Franklin, TN, the Restaurant Manager will also occasionally provide support to neighboring locations and participate in company-wide leadership training and business meetings. Whataburger’s commitment to equal opportunity employment supports a diverse and inclusive workforce, welcoming candidates of all backgrounds to join their leadership team. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a successful and growing organization that values bold leadership and offers a clear career path toward becoming an Operating Partner with potential six-figure earnings.
