Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current food management certification
  • Experience in restaurant management preferred
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to stand and move about at a moderate pace for up to 4 hours at a time
  • Stamina to work 50 to 55 hours per week
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, or crawl
  • Coordination to operate kitchen equipment
  • Adherence to company dress and grooming policies

Job Qualifications

  • Must have current food management certification
  • Must possess and demonstrate an ownership mentality
  • Must have flexibility for scheduling
  • Must be willing to transfer to a different geographical location
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must be adept at ordering and formulating pars
  • Must have basic math skills
  • must be able to count currency and make change, use a calculator to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must understand and facilitate proper health code standards
  • Must adhere to Flanigan’s always hiring policy and conduct interviews in a timely fashion
  • Must issue written evaluations for positive and/or negative performance
  • Must be able to see, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell
  • Must be able to read and write English

Job Duties

  • Communicate concerning all kitchen issues with management throughout the course of the day
  • Read as well as write notes in the manager’s daily log in English
  • Attend weekly manager’s meetings and monthly staff meetings
  • Read the weekly memo
  • Complete weekly and monthly employee evaluations
  • Communicate with all managers on duty when shift is completed
  • Relate an accurate, honest report of all events both positive and negative
  • Comply with all policies, rules and directions covered in manuals, memos, and meetings
  • Attend the quarterly supervisor meetings
