The role in question is for a Restaurant Manager, a pivotal position responsible for managing the overall operations of a Jack in the Box unit. This position uses discretion in daily management decisions and is accountable for executing the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and upholding the Brand Promise. The manager develops their team to provide excellent internal and external service, builds restaurant sales and profits, and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

The Restaurant Manager plays an essential leadership role in recruiting, training, and evaluating restaurant employees, ensuring robust staffing levels and employee development. This position requires creating an employee-friendly environment that motivates and inspires the team to achieve high performance while ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal systems. On the customer service side, the Restaurant Manager ensures the delivery of consistent, quality service and food safety, maintains the restaurant's brand image, and responds efficiently to guest concerns.

Key responsibilities also include analyzing operational and financial performance, maintaining budgets, and using data to implement improvement action plans. The manager focuses on increasing sales and profitability through the effective application of the Service Profit Chain, always considering cost-benefit impacts and protecting the brand's integrity.

Job Qualifications

  • internal promote requires minimum one year experience as an associate manager or two years as a first assistant manager, fully certified
  • external recruit requires minimum three years managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility
  • must be at least 18 years old

Job Duties
