The role of a Restaurant Manager at Jack in the Box is a critical leadership position responsible for managing the overall operations of a restaurant unit. The Restaurant Manager utilizes discretion in making daily management decisions, focusing on the effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and upholding the company’s Brand Promise. This position involves developing and leading the restaurant team to provide exemplary internal and external service. The manager ensures that the restaurant operates in compliance with company policies, health regulations, and safety standards. Key responsibilities include recruiting, training, and evaluating staff, maintaining a clean and safe environment, driving sales and profitability through strategic business decisions, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The Restaurant Manager also plays an active role in resolving guest concerns, overseeing food quality and safety, and managing financial performance using various reporting and analysis tools. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year experience as associate manager or 2 years as first assistant manager for internal promotion
  • minimum 3 years management experience with full P&L responsibility for external recruitment
  • must be 18 years or older
  • completion of restaurant manager training
  • ServSafe certification
  • proficiency in English speaking, reading, and writing
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • basic math abilities
  • analytical skills
  • good organization and planning
  • self-starter with initiative
  • computer proficiency
  • valid driver’s license and insurance
  • ability to operate a vehicle and make bank deposits
  • physical ability to stand and walk majority of the shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required
  • associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • minimum 1 year experience as an associate manager and/or 2 years as a first assistant manager for internal candidates
  • minimum 3 years managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility for external recruits
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • must complete restaurant manager training
  • ServSafe certification required
  • proficient in English communication
