The role of a Restaurant Manager at Jack in the Box plays a pivotal part in maintaining the high standards and brand promise of the restaurant. This is a full-time management position that requires overseeing the daily operations of a specific restaurant location, ensuring the effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC), and upholding the overall brand promise through exceptional customer service and employee development. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for driving sales and profitability while ensuring compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and regulatory standards. In this position, the Restaurant Manager recruits, trains, and evaluates employees, builds and motivates the restaurant team, and ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both employees and guests. The manager holds accountability for customer satisfaction by monitoring food quality, guest service, and restaurant cleanliness. Problem resolution related to guest concerns is handled promptly and professionally to enhance the overall dining experience. Financial management is a key responsibility, with the manager analyzing operational reports and budget adherence to improve sales and control costs continuously. Leadership skills are emphasized, including the ability to foster a supportive culture, coach employees toward their potential, manage through change, and consistently make sound business decisions. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must complete Restaurant Manager training classes
  • Must be ServSafe certified
  • High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as Associate Manager or 2 years as First Assistant Manager for internal promotion
  • Minimum of 3 years management experience with full P&L responsibility for external recruits
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform basic math operations
  • Proficient with personal computers and software
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance
  • Ability to lift 10-65 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk 85%-95% of the shift
  • Ability to operate restaurant equipment and motor vehicle

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required
  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an Associate Manager or 2 years as a First Assistant Manager for internal promotion
  • Minimum of 3 years management experience with full P&L responsibility for external recruits
  • Completion of Restaurant Manager training classes
  • ServSafe certification required
  • Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English

  • Valid driver’s license and insurance
  • Willingness to travel to other locations
