Flynn Applebee's, a premier brand under the Flynn Group umbrella, is looking to hire an Applebee's Assistant Manager. This full-time position offers an annual salary range between $60,000 and $75,000 and requires an individual passionate about delivering exceptional service while leading a dynamic team. The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that both guests and staff have an outstanding experience. As a motivated team leader and excellent problem solver, the Assistant Manager is expected to handle stressful situations with composure and lead by example to inspire passion and dedication among employees. This role demands a hands-on approach where the manager must be willing and able to assist in various team member positions when needed, including cooking, bartending, seating guests, and more. The ideal candidate will nurture a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values, promote safety and sanitation, optimize inventory control, and foster employee development through ongoing training and performance evaluation. In addition, the Assistant Manager will maintain compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of restaurant management experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 10 hours
  • Capability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong communication and reading skills
  • Finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Willingness to engage in operational tasks alongside team members

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely friendly service according to company guidelines achieving established objectives of the unit
  • Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of our core values and beliefs
  • Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
  • Maintains departmental inventory levels
  • Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
