We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Restaurant Manager to join our team and oversee daily restaurant operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring that every aspect of the restaurant runs smoothly and adheres to Smashin Crab’s standards of excellence. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for managing a full staff of 15 to 25 team members across multiple departments, including hosting, service, bar, and kitchen. This multi-faceted leadership position requires oversight of staffing, training, scheduling, labor management, and working closely with the General Manager to uphold operational standards and financial goals. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of restaurant management experience within a high-volume, full-service establishment, with annual sales upwards of 3 million dollars.

The Restaurant Manager will be tasked with implementing and enforcing quality control measures, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, and ensuring the restaurant’s culture aligns with Smashin Crab’s brand values. Additional responsibilities include managing weekly product orders, inventory control, supervising employee development, and resolving guest concerns with professionalism and urgency. The role demands a strong leader who excels in communication, customer service, and can thrive under pressure while multitasking effectively. Experience with restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems is essential for tracking and optimizing operations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of restaurant management experience

Job Qualifications

  • Restaurant management experience of 3-5 years
  • management experience in a high volume full service restaurant with sales averaging in 3M+

  • understanding of food and beverage trends

Job Duties

  • Manage labor (SPLH) and controllable expenses within an established budget
  • responsible for ensuring all personnel and financial related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • engaged in executing restaurant inspections and managing action plans with staff
  • ability to manage the hiring and training of employees
  • engaged in all weekly product orders/transfers and order receiving
  • ensuring compliance with product standards and minimizing 86 items
  • responsible for managing and submitting end-of-month department inventory
  • enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of dining areas and kitchen
  • enforce compliance with operational standards, uniforms and appearance, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances
  • responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of service delivery to guests
  • enforce food and beverage recipe and presentation compliance during service
  • ensure a safe environment for staff and guests to reduce the risk of injury and accidents
  • investigate and resolve any guest complaints concerning food or service
  • direct supervision, development, and termination of employees
  • develop employees by providing ongoing coaching, establishing performance expectations and participating in performance reviews
  • maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of department staffing needs
  • prepare department schedules within labor budgets
  • keep the General Manager promptly and fully informed of all issues and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action
