Job Description
Chili's is a renowned casual dining restaurant chain that started its journey in Dallas, Texas, in 1975. Since then, it has become a staple in the American dining scene, widely celebrated for its iconic Big Mouth burgers, house-smoked ribs, flavorful fajitas, and hand-shaken margaritas. With a strong emphasis on service, hospitality, and community involvement, Chili's has maintained its dedication to delivering a memorable and enjoyable experience to every guest, every day. The company thrives on a culture of fun while maintaining a strong commitment to excellence and consistency, making it a beloved destination for both guests and team members alike.
The role of a Chili's Manager is pivotal in maintaining this delicate balance between high-quality food service and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Chili's Managers are described as being wired for hospitality, meaning they possess a natural ability to connect and engage with people. This role is fundamentally about relationships—managing not just the operational aspects of the restaurant but also fostering a team environment that encourages respect, communication, and shared success. Managers operate as the central link that binds the team to the guests, ensuring that every service interaction is positive and every team member feels valued.
In this managerial position, the selected candidate will take on numerous responsibilities that directly impact the restaurant's overall performance. From leading a busy shift with energy and focus to ensuring the highest standards of food quality and customer service, Managers at Chili's are expected to uphold and exceed operational goals. This includes monitoring cost controls diligently and following established operational systems like the Manager Timeline and quality Line Checks.
The role also requires a commitment to continuous improvement and accountability. Managers must identify root causes of issues with self-reflection and openness, demonstrating vulnerability and transparency. They are tasked with fostering open communication among team members and influencing behaviors that align with Chili's culture and standards. Leadership at Chili's is about leading with heart and mind, balancing empathy with business acumen to drive results.
Hiring, training, and developing team members is another vital aspect of this position. Managers are charged with nurturing talent, helping team members grow into larger roles, and sustaining a positive and productive workforce. Additionally, Managers are ambassadors of the Chili's culture, embodying the company's core beliefs: Every Guest Counts, Food Perfection, Be Accountable, and Play Restaurant. Beyond the four walls of the restaurant, Managers help strengthen community relationships by engaging guests and representing the brand positively.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $64,000 to $68,000 per year. Ideal candidates are dependable team players who thrive in fast-paced environments and possess excellent multitasking skills. Working at Chili's as a Manager offers a unique opportunity to be part of a vibrant team that values collaboration, celebrates success, and is passionate about hospitality. It's more than a job; it's a chance to build a rewarding career in the dynamic foodservice industry with a nationally recognized and respected brand.
