Job Description

JDK Management Company is a prominent franchiser of Perkins Restaurant and Bakery, a well-established family dining restaurant originally founded in 1958 as a single pancake house in Ohio. Over the decades, Perkins has expanded into a leading name in the casual dining industry, recognized for its warm hospitality, classic comfort food, and excellent value for customers. As the largest franchiser of the Perkins brand, JDK Management Company continues to build on the longstanding legacy of quality and customer service that Perkins is known for, striving to create a positive environment where both guests and employees can thrive.

JDK's culture is deeply rooted in its guiding principles: Stay Hungry, Be Humble, and Work Smart. These values are reflected in all aspects of the company, fostering a collaborative atmosphere where team members feel supported and empowered to achieve their best work. JDK believes that its success stems from cultivating strong relationships within its workforce and delivering outstanding dining experiences that keep guests coming back.

The Restaurant Manager role at JDK is a vital leadership position within the Perkins restaurant team. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual who brings dynamic energy, strong leadership skills, and a genuine passion for providing exceptional guest experiences. As a Restaurant Manager, you will oversee the front-of-house operations, ensuring that service quality and operational efficiency meet high standards. You will play an integral role in developing and supporting your team, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and contributing to the restaurant's overall success.

This role requires a hands-on leader capable of managing day-to-day restaurant activities, from supervising dining room service to ensuring compliance with food safety protocols. You will drive sales growth by upholding operational and service standards while fostering a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for both guests and staff. Leading by example, you will support the hiring, training, and ongoing development of your team members to maintain a well-prepared, motivated workforce.

At JDK, the Restaurant Manager reports directly to the General Manager and collaborates as part of the leadership team. It is expected that you are adaptable and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations. Your communication skills and ability to build respectful, constructive relationships with your team and guests are essential to thriving in this role.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $48,000 to $58,000 annually, dependent on experience. JDK provides a balanced work schedule with a standard 48-hour work week and options for flexible scheduling to support work-life balance. In addition, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with employer match. Working at JDK means being part of a values-driven culture where dedication, humility, and smart work are celebrated and rewarded.

This role is perfect for someone with previous management experience in family or casual dining settings who holds or is willing to obtain ServSafe Food Manager Certification. If you have strong interpersonal skills, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are passionate about leading a team that delivers great guest experiences, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career with a respected industry leader.
