Job Description

This opportunity is with an established upscale casual restaurant located in West Chester, PA, known for its strong reputation, loyal guest following, and long-term stability. The restaurant operates within a family-owned hospitality organization that prides itself on accountability, teamwork, and professional development. The ownership remains actively involved with the management team to ensure operational excellence and foster long-term growth. Employees benefit from a stable environment supported by an experienced team and a trusted presence in the local community.

The role is a hands-on Restaurant Manager position responsible for leading daily operations in a busy upscale casual dining setting. As the Restaurant Manager, you will oversee a team of over 50 employees, providing leadership and direction in all aspects of hospitality, service execution, labor management, and team development. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the consistently high standards of guest experience that have become the hallmark of this restaurant. This position offers an opportunity for experienced managers who prefer to lead an already thriving establishment rather than managing a turnaround situation.

You will engage directly with ownership, providing input on operational initiatives and helping to shape the culture and future growth of the business. The management style favored here is one of accountability combined with positive team culture, emphasizing coaching, development, and retention of employees. Your daily responsibilities will include overseeing scheduling, managing labor costs, enforcing operational controls, maintaining service standards, and ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance.

This full-time role comes with a competitive annual salary ranging from $87,000 to $92,000, paid biweekly, plus a performance-based discretionary annual bonus. The bonus is awarded based on your success in operational performance, leadership effectiveness, staff development, employee retention, and overall contribution to the business. Additional benefits include paid vacation, a healthcare stipend to help offset the cost of individual medical insurance coverage, and employee dining privileges.

The work schedule provides two consecutive days off each week (Monday and Tuesday) with varied but predictable shifts through the remainder of the week, including weekend hours and holiday availability except for major holidays such as New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. This schedule supports work-life balance while still requiring availability to meet the demands of a high-volume restaurant.

This role is ideal for a restaurant leader with at least three years of experience in full-service, high-volume restaurant management. Candidates should bring strong leadership and organizational skills, a hands-on approach to managing teams, and excellent communication abilities. You will be comfortable using POS systems, scheduling software, and reporting tools to drive performance and accountability. Your ability to identify challenges, make decisions, and take ownership of outcomes will be key to your success.

If you are passionate about hospitality, committed to developing people, and eager to contribute meaningfully within an established, successful operation, this Restaurant Manager position offers a unique and rewarding career opportunity. The hands-on leadership approach and direct collaboration with ownership set this role apart, allowing you to influence operations, improve systems, and play a central role in the restaurant’s continued success and growth.
