The Restaurant Manager of the Future role is a full-time, hourly position offering $24.75 per hour. It serves as an entry-level management training position designed to prepare motivated individuals to become highly effective Restaurant Managers. This role provides flexible scheduling to support work-life balance and emphasizes ongoing training and development, combining hands-on restaurant operations experience with leadership mentorship. As a vital link in the restaurant's leadership team, the successful candidate will develop skills in managing food production, guest satisfaction, team development, and business operations.

The Restaurant Manager in training will learn to lead all aspects of the restaurant by directly overseeing crew members and managers, planning and executing staffing strategies, and ensuring operational excellence. This includes handling recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, training, coaching, and motivating the team. They will be taught to plan carefully for inventory, budgeting, and food cost controls, which are critical to maintaining profitability and meeting quality standards. Safety is paramount in this role; the manager-in-training will ensure compliance with McDonald's food safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for guests and employees.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining equipment and facilities to McDonald's standards, monitoring guest experience to continuously improve service quality, and fostering a positive workplace culture grounded in respect and accountability. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks

Job Duties

  • Manage all aspects within the restaurant, including food production, guest service and experience, and direct crew and manager work
  • Proactively lead and manage all people processes including recruiting, hiring and onboarding, staffing, performance management, training, coaching and motivating
  • Plan for and make critical business decisions around inventory, budget, and food ordering/costs
  • Ensure food safety measures are set and achieved to McDonald's standards of excellence
  • Maintain a high level of standard for guest and employee safety
  • Oversee all operational needs of the restaurant, including maintenance plans to meet and exceed standards of excellence
