Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of food service supervisory experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Proof of auto insurance
  • Proficient in using POS and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work varied hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must complete company management training program
  • Ability to manage financial reports and inventory
  • Experience in developing staff and enforcing policies
  • Must adhere to California labor laws including meal and rest breaks

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of food service and restaurant supervisory experience
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
  • Strong knowledge of store operations, management principles including scheduling, cost control, continuous improvement, and inventory management
  • Intermediate computer skills including POS and Microsoft Office
  • Food preparation skills relevant to the restaurant business
  • Up-to-date knowledge of food safety and health codes
  • Customer-focused with ability to work independently or within a team
  • Extensive knowledge of customer relations
  • Successful completion of company management development training program (MIT)
  • Experience in P&L management and financial oversight
  • Effective leadership and team development skills

Job Duties

  • Deliver high-quality results through workforce planning including recruitment, selection, onboarding, education, and coaching to support Polly's standards
  • Manage store operations by applying policies, service standards, and improving operational procedures
  • Lead efficient labor and team member management including scheduling, monitoring, communication of job expectations, planning, counseling, and enforcing policies
  • Build team rapport by supporting, coaching, delegating tasks, and developing team members
  • Support management staff development and hold managers accountable for team and company objectives
  • Maintain guest satisfaction by evaluating and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings and initiating improvements
  • Oversee cash handling policies and procedures ensuring proper cash management, including verifying safe, balancing cashier drawers, and handling bank deposits
  • Align store operations with strategic forecasts and budgets, monitor variance analysis, and enforce financial controls
  • Drive brand team initiatives and local marketing strategies to attract and retain customers
  • Implement sales increase strategies and manage cost control for food, beverage, supplies, utilities, and labor
  • Forecast sales, manage controllable profit, and adjust operations to maintain sales targets
  • Control profit and loss through cash control, inventory, labor management, and financial reporting
  • Coordinate with home office and commissary for provisioning and purchasing supplies
  • Manage proper portion control and minimize food waste
  • Order food and supplies, schedule deliveries, and maintain inventory records
  • Ensure timely completion of financial, personnel, and payroll duties according to company standards
  • Comply with operational standards, company policies, and regulations
  • Enforce security procedures for team, guests, and company assets protection
  • Maintain sanitary practices to pass regulatory inspections and perform audits
  • Guarantee workplace safety and report accidents or injuries
  • Communicate effectively with area director regarding all operational matters
  • Provide coaching and timely feedback to team members
  • Collaborate with human resources on time attendance, discipline, and conflict resolution
  • Adhere to California wage and hour laws including meal and rest policies
  • Work varied hours including weekends, holidays, and at least one closing shift per week
  • Manage holiday schedules considering business peak periods
