The Restaurant Manager position at Refuel plays a critical role in driving the business's success by ensuring that every aspect of the restaurant operates efficiently and meets high standards. This full-time, salaried exempt role requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the quick-service restaurant environment. The manager will be based at an assigned restaurant location and is expected to work hours that fluctuate according to business needs.

In this role, the Restaurant Manager is responsible for ensuring guests have a positive experience through excellent product quality and customer service. They lead and develop restaurant employees, manage operational cleanliness and food safety standards, and handle inventory control and financial reporting. The manager is also pivotal in recruiting the right staff and maintaining budgetary goals without incurring overtime or over-spending. They must manage customer concerns tactfully and maintain strict adherence to company policies and food safety regulations. Travel of up to 10% may be required. Applicants for this role should have at least two years of experience managing a quick-service restaurant along with a valid driver’s license and the physical ability to perform restaurant duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Job Qualifications

  • two years experience managing a quick-service restaurant
  • valid driver’s license
  • strong leadership communication and team-building skills
  • good understanding of food service and safety standards
  • ability to navigate and resolve customer complaints
  • effective inventory management skills
  • proficiency in daily accounting and cash auditing procedures

Job Duties

  • ensure customers have great guest experience by ensuring products are hot fresh and delicious
  • manage and develop employees ensuring they are clean and neat in appearance
  • ensure cleanliness of the property including restrooms floors coolers kitchen front counter back-office dining area fountain area and sidewalk entrance
  • ensure employees uphold strict food safety standards
  • navigate customer complaints with grace and escalate if unresolved
  • ensure proper rotation and storage of perishable products to maintain freshness and avoid spoilage
  • actively recruit interview and staff store to operate within budgeted hours without overtime
  • control inventory to maintain shortage performance at less than 1.0% short to merchandise sales
  • compile input reconcile and balance daily close-out paperwork and complete end-of-day accounting by 8:00 am
  • strictly follow and enforce vendor check-in policy and personally count all merchandise received
  • adhere to company policies and employee handbook
