The Management Team at Jersey Mike’s is pivotal to the success of each business unit. Serving as the coach, mentor, and leader, managers oversee daily operations while inspiring and motivating staff to deliver top-tier service and high-quality products. This leadership position involves managing employees, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving profitability. Offering an hourly wage starting at $23.75, managers receive a biweekly bonus based on 10% of customer tips and a quarterly performance bonus, making the total compensation potential over $60,000 per year. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a team or shift leader in restaurant, retail, or convenience store
  • Must possess Jersey Mike’s phase 1 and 3 certification and attend phase 2 within first 12 months
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Valid driver license with clean driving record and sufficient liability coverage
  • Ability to stand, twist, reach, grab constantly and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must demonstrate 100% attendance
  • Must be knowledgeable about employment laws and human resources practices
  • Food handler’s permit required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a team/shift leader position in a restaurant, retail, or convenience store
  • Jersey Mike’s phase 1 and 3 certification, and attend phase 2 within first 12 months
  • Knowledgeable regarding employment law and human resources practices
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Food handler’s permit
  • Valid driver license with clean driving record and sufficient liability coverage

Job Duties

  • Ensure total customer satisfaction through the delivery of a quality product and excellent customer service by restaurant personnel
  • Respond positively and quickly to customer concerns and correct problems before they affect customers
  • Supervise and direct employees customarily and regularly during work hours
  • Work independently and use own discretion and judgment in executing duties and responsibilities
  • Train, coach and provide regular performance feedback to motivate and improve the performance of all employees
  • Evaluate employees’ performance and hold employees accountable for meeting performance standards
  • Communicate team goals and expectations to all employees
  • coach employees toward achieving goals, recognize and reward employees who contribute to goals
  • Make employment decisions regarding hiring, discipline, advancement, termination, compensation
  • Develop and execute the business plan for the restaurant
  • Analyze business performance, monitor controllable costs and initiate appropriate corrective actions when necessary
  • Utilize labor effectively to meet budgets while ensuring high quality of QSC
  • Execute company-wide marketing programs
  • Identify and develop local restaurant marketing strategies to maximize sales
  • Ensure business and personnel practices are conducted according to state and federal laws and consistent with company policies and procedures
  • Uphold company food safety, food handling and sanitation requirements to ensure health and safety of customer and employees
  • Continued education including franchise specific certifications
  • Transport cash deposits to bank in a secure personal vehicle
  • Maintain 100% attendance
  • Model and promote all shared company values including compassion, communication and collaboration
  • Perform any and all other duties assigned
