The Assistant Manager role at Flynn Applebee's is a key leadership position focused on ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant on a daily basis. Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit

  • ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
  • maintains departmental inventory levels
  • ensures product preparation and presentation meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • maintains effective safety and security programs
  • promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
  • promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates
  • promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • helps maintain a trained staff through effective use of orientation, training sessions, employee meetings and company policy implementation
  • participates in the development of employees using one-on-one and performance documentation
  • assesses employee efficiency, provides feedback and works on development areas
  • monitors employee performance and documents situations requiring disciplinary action
  • assures compliance with policies, practices and procedures
  • controls cost in assigned department
  • ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines
  • drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories at manager's request
  • prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
  • provides a role model for managers and employees
  • develops self on all store related technology
  • willing and able to work in all positions and assist in team member roles as needed
  • uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills
