Job Description

Positioned within the Operations department, the Restaurant Manager I plays a crucial supporting role in ensuring the business operates smoothly and meets ambitious financial and guest satisfaction goals. This role is non-exempt and reports directly to the Unit General Manager, providing vital assistance in operational oversight, staff training, and adherence to company standards and policies.

The Restaurant Manager I supports the Unit General Manager by directly overseeing daily operations to achieve financial, operational, and guest service objectives. This position requires a hands-on approach to assisting with training and supervising team members to provide prompt and courteous service that aligns with Food and Beverage standards. The manager ensures all staff comply with safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations where applicable, while also monitoring food quality and addressing any customer complaints effectively. Emphasis is placed on maintaining high standards in all facets of the restaurant's operations, including inventory management, record keeping, and equipment maintenance. The role is pivotal in supporting the concept's ordering processes, coordinating deliveries, and managing paperwork such as reports, schedules, and invoice processing.

The Restaurant Manager I must demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, along with the flexibility to work alongside a diverse workforce. Having a basic understanding of key financial metrics such as profit and loss, labor costs, sales, and cost of goods is also essential. This position works closely with the leadership team to influence the achievement of organizational goals and uphold brand standards consistently. Job Duties

  • Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs for the concept
  • Check quality standards upon delivery of food and beverage deliveries
  • Assist in the ordering of concept supplies including food, beverage, smallware, chemicals and paper products
  • Resolve customer complaints about food quality or service through company standards
  • Maintain sanitation standards
  • Monitor actions of staff and customers to ensure that health and safety standards and liquor regulations (where applicable) are followed in adherence to state and local guidelines
  • Follow proper record keeping adhering to Areas standards
  • Assists in the Preparation of all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner
  • Processing of invoices through the proper systems
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services (as needed)
  • Maintain opening and closing procedures and security standards
  • Advises concept manager to the performance of associates
  • Ensure all employees are following the company dress code guidelines
  • Monitor food preparation and methods to ensure compliance with brand and company specification and standards
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor
