Job Requirements
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years current salaried management experience at a high-volume restaurant
- Certification in safe service of alcohol as mandated by locality
- BarFly Ventures Responsible Alcohol Service certification
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple platforms including in person, email, phone and POS
- Capability to multitask, prioritize, and operate with a sense of urgency
- Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, and walk frequently
- Ability to lift or move up to 160 pounds
- Must maintain composure in a busy, loud environment for 10+ hours
- Willingness to work in wet, humid, or potentially hazardous environments occasionally
- Willingness to engage in training and compliance with all company SOPs
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years current salaried management experience at a high-volume restaurant
- Certification in safe service of alcohol as mandated by locality
- BarFly Ventures Responsible Alcohol Service certification
- Excellent communication skills in person, email, phone and POS systems
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in basic computer skills including email and Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching capabilities
- Knowledge of food and beverage characteristics
- Ability to identify and address negative behaviors
- Ability to read and follow written directions and recipes including interpreting measurement abbreviations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Job Duties
- Adheres to and upholds all guidelines in BarFly Ventures Employee Handbook procedures through disciplinary conversations, documentation and coaching of hourly staff
- Greets all staff, guests, co-workers warmly and professionally
- Maintains the quality and integrity of product through line checks, production, preparation, timing, ordering, receiving and inventory where applicable
- Monitors and proactively controls labor through proper planning, scheduling and shift running procedures
- Handles cash management
- Maintains responsible service of alcohol and handles all guest cut offs
- Leads the shift through floor presence, guest interactions, ambiance management and effective communication
- Knows and validates the performance of all positions
- Completes all daily tasks as required
- Maintains compliance with all standard operating procedures including Mystery Shop, Training, Health Department and Ecosure Standards
- Maintains building safety, sanitation and upkeep through proper opening, closing and facility walkthroughs, shift execution and repair and maintenance follow up
- Effectively resolves all guest and service issues by going above and beyond to ensure the highest level of satisfaction
