Job Description
HopCat is a renowned restaurant brand recognized for its vibrant atmosphere, exceptional craft beer selection, and commitment to high-quality hospitality. As a staple in the Midwest's dining scene, HopCat prides itself on fostering a culture where leadership, ownership, and career growth are at the forefront. The company champions a leadership model that empowers managers to take full ownership of their departments, driving both operational excellence and outstanding guest experiences. This approach not only ensures the company's continued success but also promotes personal and professional growth for every team member. Working at HopCat means being part of a dynamic team dedicated to teamwork, integrity, respect, accountability, and passion—the five core values that underpin every decision and action within the restaurant.
The role of Restaurant Manager at HopCat is a unique leadership position designed for individuals who aspire to more than just managing shifts. This full-time role offers a competitive salary, quarterly bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan, dining discounts, and access to leadership development programs. Restaurant Managers at HopCat are entrusted with an Area of Responsibility (AOR), giving them the authority to own and specialize in one core business function within the restaurant. This responsibility allows managers to make impactful decisions, mentor team members, and contribute directly to the restaurant's success.
As a Restaurant Manager, you will partner closely with the General Manager to oversee the daily operations and ensure peak performance during high-volume shifts. Your duties will include hiring, coaching, and developing team members, managing labor and financial metrics, maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards, and consistently delivering exceptional guest experiences. Through strong communication and leadership, you will drive accountability and operational improvements using key performance metrics. Each manager’s Area of Responsibility may cover vital functions such as hospitality, server management, front desk operations, beverage programs, training, events, marketing, off-premise services, rewards programs, or utility team management.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about hospitality, who enjoys leading and developing high-volume teams in a fast-paced environment. Organizational skills, financial awareness, and a results-driven mindset are key to succeeding in this position. HopCat offers a supportive environment with ongoing coaching and leadership training, designed to prepare managers for future advanced roles such as Senior Manager, General Manager, or Area Director. If you are ready to lead with integrity, own your results, and build a meaningful career in restaurant management, HopCat invites you to apply and become part of a company that values your growth and contribution.
