The General Manager’s main responsibility is to oversee the daily operational standards and ensure that store leadership teams are fully supported to meet company expectations. This role demands a hands-on approach to managing store operations, verifying sales reports, coordinating maintenance issues, and closely monitoring team communications via tools like Slack.
In addition to daily oversight, the General Manager conducts weekly and monthly reviews to maintain store readiness, team performance, and adherence to the company’s culture and mission. This includes scheduling weekly calls with store leaders, ensuring adherence to safety and security measures like counting store safes and completing manager notebooks accurately, and facilitating monthly staff meetings with mandatory attendance. Job Duties
- Verify that daily sales are posted to Slack each morning
- Ensure total weekly sales for all assigned stores are posted on Mondays
- Follow up on all repairs and maintenance issues
- Monitor Slack for team video updates
- Review daily donut case photos posted by 2:00 PM
- Attend Wednesday Zoom calls or luncheons
- Schedule Tuesday calls with all store leaders
- Ensure two wins from each store are posted
- Confirm every scheduled employee is active on Slack
- Count the store safe and review the manager's notebook
- Verify the Redbook is completed correctly
- Ensure weekly schedule is posted on Slack by Friday morning
- Schedule and conduct monthly staff meetings with mandatory attendance
- Attend monthly staff meetings to communicate company culture and mission
- Confirm all employee training is up to date
- Spend time working at the store to assess training on product preparation and cleaning
- Review store organization and product arrangement, providing improvement recommendations
- Conduct mandatory window readiness calls
- Attend monthly manager meetings and prepare presentations as needed
