Our restaurant is a well-established dining destination located in the heart of downtown Columbia, South Carolina. We are currently seeking a full-time Assistant Manager to join our leadership team at our downtown Columbia location. This hands-on, operational role is ideal for individuals with back-of-house (BOH) experience who enjoy leading by example and who are passionate about ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a dynamic, fast-paced restaurant environment. The position offers an annual salary of $40,000, and the work schedule consists of 40 hours per week with the restaurant closed every Monday, providing a routine that balances work and personal time.

As the Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager as second in command, helping guide and inspire our team to deliver outstanding service. Your responsibilities will include overseeing shift teams, maintaining efficient service flow, assisting with ordering and inventory control, and troubleshooting operational challenges to keep everything running seamlessly. This role demands a proactive leader who can model best practices in hospitality and kitchen operations, motivate staff, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurant operations
  • back-of-house experience strongly preferred
  • ability to work a 40-hour week
  • flexibility to work weekends and holidays
  • strong leadership and communication skills
