Job Description
Flanigan's is the largest and most popular restaurant chain in South Florida, a beloved institution since 1959. Known for its excellence and great reputation across Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties, Flanigan's has become a staple in the local dining scene. With a legacy of exceptional service and quality, the company continues to expand by adding new units and seeking experienced restaurant managers eager to grow and prosper within the organization. As a member of the Flanigan's family, managers play a critical role in maintaining the standard that the brand is known for and contribute to its ongoing success.\n\nThe role of Hiring Manager at Flanigan's is both dynamic and rewarding. Managers will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring that kitchen and front-of-house activities operate seamlessly throughout their shifts. Managers must communicate effectively with kitchen staff and complete daily logs in English to maintain clear records of operational details. The position requires attendance at weekly manager meetings, monthly staff meetings, and quarterly supervisor meetings to stay aligned with company policies and updates. Managers are expected to complete employee evaluations regularly and provide honest, accurate reports on all occurrences during their shift. Compliance with all company policies, rules, and guidelines as outlined in manuals, memos, and meetings is mandatory.\n\nThis full-time position requires flexibility in scheduling, as Flanigan's restaurants are open 365 days per year. Managers may be asked to work up to 30 miles from their initial restaurant location, demanding adaptability and a commitment to supporting the broader team across various locations if necessary. The role requires a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Managers take ownership of their responsibilities, including inventory management, ordering, and maintaining health code standards. Basic math and computer skills are essential to manage pars, weigh food costs, and use POS or other restaurant management software efficiently. The ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken, is required. Physical demands of the job include standing and moving at a moderate pace for up to four hours at a time, working 50 to 55 hours weekly, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing various motions such as bending, stooping, and squatting. Managers must also maintain a professional appearance in line with Flanigan's dress and grooming policies.\n\nIn return for their dedication, managers benefit from competitive starting salaries and a structured benefits package that includes a five-day workweek with two consecutive days off, paid vacation beginning after the first year, health insurance options including medical and dental coverage, a 401K plan with immediate eligibility for those 21 and over, and opportunities for advancement based on performance rather than tenure. Managers also receive personal days and free meals during shifts. This role is ideal for those who bring an ownership mentality to their work, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to advance their careers within a reputable and growing restaurant chain.
